Our Story
BumWise was born from a simple question: If we are so careful about everything our babies eat, drink and use, shouldn’t we be equally careful about what they wear against their skin every day? A diaper stays close to a baby’s delicate skin for hours at a time. Yet, as parents, it can be difficult to know exactly what goes into one and whether the claims on the pack are truly backed by testing. We felt there had to be a better way, so we started BumWise with one clear purpose, to create baby care products with no unwanted chemicals, greater transparency and safety that can be tested and not simply claimed. Our first product, the BumWise diaper, was developed with this philosophy at its core. We carefully selected the materials, focused on eliminating substances we did not want in our product, and subjected the finished diaper and not just individual materials to rigorous testing. The result is a diaper that is dermatologically tested, phthalate-free, chlorine-free, sulphate-free, hypoallergenic, pH-neutral and infused with aloe, , while meeting applicable BIS standards.
